About MWQA LTD

                                     The company was formed in 2003 by Roy McCallan, to support SME's.

Based upon Roy's 20 years industrial experience, working for multinational organisations in the electronics and light engineering industry including Prestwick circuits, AMP, Keystone valves, Hindle Valves., TYCO. 

The role included supporting companies such as the M.O.D, Ford, IBM, HP, Intel, Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser), to name but a few.

His in-house role included:

Bringing about efficiency improvements by leading Re-engineering projects (Lean and BPR as it has become commonly known)

Introducing SPC to optimise process reliability.

Introducing quality systems such as:  QS9000 and ISO 9001 2000.

Realising the subsequent cost improvements generated from the above projects.

Roy recognised that the only common factor, resulting in their business success was the holistic “Quality” approach they ALL embraced.with his assistance.

He also became a firm believer of Philip Crosby's argument that QUALITY IS FREE! - i.e. the money you will initially invest in Quality; will very quickly be returned, with profits, by doing things right first time. 

Removing the existing wastes and adopting a good Quality approach.= pure profit.

Having come through over a decade of "boom and bust", in the UK, he identified that the constant drive for cost reduction follows the same cycle:

Personnel reduction → Outsourcing → Buying from low cost regions of the world → Relocation  (often knee jerk, & too late)

He realised that a real alternative yielding quick benefits, is investing in a "Quality" approach, adopting the appropriate methods used by successful businesses.  Rather than spending a fortune trying to recover a bad situation.
